Listening is an important, and often overlooked, aspect of dynamic acting, especially when working on-camera. Frequently, actors are too busy being active to allow for an honest connection to the text, atmosphere, other characters and their audience. In this class we will develop the actor’s sensorial listening skills and strengthen concentration while deepening capacity to connect with others. The art of listening translates to both stage and on-camera acting creating an engaged performance that is exciting for actors and audience alike.

Session A will focus on exploration and embodying these techniques, whereas Session B will be a practical application of the technique. Session A is not required to participate in session B, however it will be helpful.

Some acting/performance experience is helpful but not necessary.
