This workshop is designed for all performers looking for an alternative route into textual analysis. A kinesthetic and sonic exploration of text will foster a mind-body connection to the story, allowing for an instinctive discovery of the spine. The goal of the work is to provide a deeply felt, reflexive knowledge of character by way of an alternative bridge into text so that the performer may “forget” and act from impulse. Utilizing a kinesthetic exploration of the primal power of sound allows room for fresh inspiration to take hold and for another doorway to open into textual analysis. Some previous experience in acting/ theatre can be helpful, but is not required.
