Teaching Philosophy, in a nutshell:
I teach to reach, but also to learn.
Most memorable performance:
The sold out Opening night of Uniform Justice, the first play I wrote by myself to be fully produced - in Memphis, TN in 2014. I also directed it. And grew many gray hairs over it.
Most embarrassing performance moment:
Falling asleep onstage before my first line in an Off off Broadway play. The role required laying on the floor hidden under a blanket for 30 minutes before making my “entrance,” so... yeah. Thankfully, this happened during final dress rehearsal. The run went beautifully and featured lots of coffee.
Something we wouldn’t know if you didn’t tell us:
I can’t swim though I love the ocean. I’m afraid of heights though I low key enjoy flying. I’m claustrophobic... and that’s the end of that statement.
